Ultra Japan'15 - Part 2
Konnichiwa, earthings. Here we go again.
My Happily Ever After. |
23rd
of Sept – Disneyland
Another dream comes true. I truly love theme parks, the
music playing on the background in every corner of the park makes me happy, and
every characters that seems unreachable during my childhood came alive at this
magical land.
Stepping into Disneyland – here you leave today, and enter
the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy.
If you’re having hard time choosing in between Disneyland
or Disney Sea, here’s the tips (which I doubt it would help). Speaking of Disney
Sea, well, they only have it here in Japan and this is the only place they’re
selling Shellie May if you’re a fan of Duffy. There are tons of Duffy/Shellie
May merchandise that are enough to max out your credit limit. Their Disney
parades and shows are splendid. Very grand, I’d say. They have Ariel at Mermaid
Lagoon, which they do not have it in Disneyland. On the other hand, in terms of
variety wise, Disneyland is way massive and has more to offer. But then again,
there are always other Disneyland, say, Florida, France, HK (tho it’s much
smaller), and whatnot. Please feel free
to drop your queries if you want to know about fastpass and some shows that
need a lottery as it got us quite confuse as well.
Vivi and I got close after Disneyland. Love this petite gorgeous to the moon and back! |
It's laughter we're after. Indeed |
The boys queued for almost an hour for this gigantic turkey drumstick. |
Mickey ice cream biscuit. SO ADORABLE!

Kind Japanese that lead us when we were lost. |
24 – 26th
of Sept – Shibuya crossing & Harajuku
SHOPPING SPREE YAYYY! Shopping at Shibuya & Harajuku
feels like heaven. You can easily burst your credit limit with what this little
city can offer. So much to buy yet in order to take into consideration of having
enough cash to survive and luggage capacity you have to carry throughout the
trip, you might want to think twice before you splurge. My two pennies worth
are:
1)
Ralph
Lauren Polos at Gotemba;
2) Comme des Garçons (CDG) is
much affordable here compare to Singapore and Malaysia. However, it’s so
popular there that most of the designs get sold out almost on a daily basis. If
you would like to grab a lot of pieces with extensive choices, head over to
Aoyama flagship where they replenish the stock every morning at 11AM;
3) NIKE SNEAKERS! Yes,
grab limited edition that you couldn’t find here as much as possible. You
wouldn’t regret it. I got myself Nike Air Max 90 Eton Mess, I had so many
attentions as the design is really appealing and rare. I’m being queried way too
often of where I got this pairs. There are a lot of outlets but my preference
is Atmos outlets. Also, check out ABC outlets;
4) Samatha Thavasa.
Japanese brand with the face of Miranda Kerr as brand ambassador, their
handbags collection is very adored by ladies in their twenties over here;
5) GAP! I’m a fan of comfy
apparels and I always stock up GAP hoodies for my lazy days where I could just
throw it on and head out. IT’S DIRT CHEAP HERE! You can get a hoodie for around
RM100 when they’re having sales here. I even got a biker jacket for around
RM200 or so (I couldn’t recall). Great deal indeed.
6) Head Porter. You
can only grab this in Japan, so why not?
7) Neighborhood.
Boyfriend’s a big fan.
8) BAPE. If you’re able to get
one, splurge on it! But you’ll have to line up forever for it!
9) Supreme. Chanel of the street
wear hehe. But I do not think it’s cheaper over here.

You wouldn’t want to miss this in Tokyo – Shibuya crossing!
Another tick off on my bucket lists.
27th
& 28th Sept – Kyoto & Osaka
It was a very hasty stop by. We have very limited time plus
the railways are not as convenient as Tokyo city, we have to do a lot of walking
and cabs hopping to reach particular destinations and hence we missed out a lot
of sightseeing. In this case, I highly recommend at least two days to allow
thorough discovery of this old large city with beautiful gardens, imperial
palaces, Shinto shrines and traditional residential. I missed out Fushimi Inari
Taisha, Gion District, Imperial palace, Mount Fuji, Chion In, I never try a
traditional Kimono, or experience a tea ceremony. Such a shame. I’ll stay a
little bit longer in this refined city in future.
Grab any booklets and guidance directory along the way
especially those with maps and introduction of where to visit. It’ll help a
lot.
Arashiyama Bamboo Grove is an overwhelming forest with
endless paths in any directions. Wandering amidst the sky-high bamboo is like
entering another world with the possibility of any Samurai dashing out from
nowhere with his Samurai swords. Pardon me with my bizarre thoughts :D
Matcha everything! |
Kyoto bound. |
I miss convenient stores at Japan! I never stop visiting any of the convenient stores that came into my sight. |
29th
of Sept – Universal Studio Japan
I WANNA STAY HERE FOREVER IN THE HOGWARTS CASTLE! I
couldn’t stress more but MAKE SURE YOU GO FOR HARRY POTTER AND THE FORBIDDEN
JOURNEY IN 4K3D! As you’re lining up for the ride, you will have to enter
Hogwarts castle. There are plenty to see such as Dumbledore’s office,
Gryffindor’s common room. Everything is so surreal along the way, the spiral
staircases, talking pictures on the wall, snows falling from nowhere in the
common room out of a sudden, and oh, don’t even get me started on the sorting
hat. IT’S SO ALIKE WITH THE ONE IN THE MOVIE MINUS THE PART THAT IT’S SPEAKING
JAPANESE ON THIS ONE. Lol. I’m a Harry Potter fanatic, so pardon me on my caps.
It was Halloween when we pay our visit, so they have all
these Oscar’s quality staffs disguised as zombies and appeared silently in the
crowds and caused havoc everywhere. It happened after a huge explosions on the
entrance when the clock strike 6, and I had no slightest clue ‘bout this until
I saw one of the bloodcurdling zombie so I ran off almost tearing. -__-
I hate these zombies. There were so many types of them, the
infected ones, the homicide with weapons like circular saw (whenever he/it triggered
circular saw and made the loud daunting noise, I flee immediately to the
opposite way), the giant sumo-sized zombie that looked so f scary with the
blood stains on his slit mouth and a Chuckie kid beside him. I.CANT.EVEN.GO.NEAR.THEM.
I surrendered white flags and decided to hide in within a restaurant while
waiting for the boyfriend and Jun Hoong to finish off their Back to the Future
simulator ride. I chickened out so bad I can’t even make it out to the exit
like a boss. Okay okay, laugh all you want lol.
And also, we went for strolling around Osaka city before we catch a flight back to reality.
Refugee fled to one of the restaurants in USJ away from zombie chaos outside and at the meantime waiting for the boyf and a friend for Back to Future ride. Super pricey Carbonara & beer! |
Super preets Marilyn Monroe! Girl crush alert! |
